E-waste
E-waste is anything with a plug, battery or cord that is unwanted. This includes old phones, computers and household appliances as well as electric blankets, power tools and electronic toys.
E-waste does not belong in your landfill or recycling bin.
It can contaminate recycling, leach hazardous chemicals into the ground when sent to landfill, and can even cause fires in collection trucks and recycling facilities. It also contains valuable resources that can be reused when disposed of correctly.
Where possible, please remove batteries from items prior to disposing.
