On Wednesday 25 December and Wednesday 1 January, bins will not be collected. Instead, bins will be collected the following day and one day later for the rest of the week. Our customer service desk will be closed from 25 December to 5 January, however our call centre will only be closed on public holidays.

If you find that your bin has not been emptied on its usual collection day, there may have been a problem with the contents, weight or placement of the bin.
Follow the process below to request another collection.
Usually we place a sticker on your bin telling you why it was not collected.
Your bin may not have been emptied because:
We do not service bins that do not belong to Nillumbik Shire Council or that belong to a commercial property.
Let us know by 2pm on the second business day following your collection day. We are unable to return for bins reported after this time.
Report a bin not emptied
Make sure any problems (incorrect contents, overfilled, too heavy etc) have been fixed.
Leave your bin out by 6am the next business day.
Call 03 9433 3111 Monday to Friday from 8.30am to 5pm (excluding public holidays).
Your bin will be picked up within three business days.
Please note that requests made after 2.30pm will count as being lodged the next business day.
