A day of Total Fire Ban has been declared for Saturday 22 February. The Fire Danger Rating is Extreme. The Recycling Centre in Plenty will be closed all day due to the Total Fire Ban. Edendale Farm will close to the public at 2.30pm due to the heat forecast.

Small lids fall through the sorting lines at the recycling facility and are not sorted with the correct plastic types. There are some drop off locations for recycling through the Lids4Kids program.
