The best way to support our communities during emergencies is to be prepared and connected beforehand.

Registering to volunteer with emergency response services is a great way to support local resilience to disasters and emergencies.

Australian Red Cross 

Australian Red Cross volunteers build communities that are strong, resilient and able to anticipate, respond, and recover well from disasters and climate change related emergencies.

Country Fire Association

There is a role for everyone as a CFA volunteer. Not all roles in a brigade require you to attend an emergency. There are operational roles and support roles in each brigade.

VIC State Emergency Service

It takes thousands of dedicated VICSES volunteers from across the state to provide emergency assistance 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, every day of the year.

Council's role in an emergency

During and after an emergency, Council is responsible for the coordination of relief, recovery and rebuilding efforts.
