Ride, Skate, Scoot Nillumbik encourages children and their families to get outdoors and enjoy the wonderful network of trails, open spaces, playgrounds and other outdoor landmarks that Nillumbik has to offer.
Ride, Skate, Scoot Nillumbik will run throughout March 2025.
Building healthy and active habits in childhood can have lifelong benefits for health and wellbeing.
Every child who participates in Ride, Skate, Scoot Nillumbik will receive free passes to Eltham Leisure Centre and Yarrambat Park Goanna Mini Golf Course. They will also go into the draw to win one of 5 x $100 Rebel Sport vouchers.
Children will be given a printed map through their school prior to 1 March 2025.
Downloadable maps
Ride, Skate, Scoot Nillumbik will run from 1 – 31 March 2025.
All participating schools will share their involvement with families in February 2025. You may see information in school newsletters and on posters around the school, and your child will receive a participation map from their teacher late February.
The trails and outdoor spaces highlighted as part of this initiative are there for public use, and so you can absolutely take part in exploring and enjoying these! (At any time, not just March 2025). Only children from participating schools will be able to enter the prize draw for this initiative.
Extra copies of maps have been sent to each school, to keep at the office. You can also download a copy from this web page.
No. Every time you visit a landmark and register your visit by the QR code you will receive an entry into the draw. Of course, the more you visit the more entries you get!
We are asking parents to log their visits to the landmarks to help us track participation, and award prizes fairly to families who have taken part in the initiative.
If you do not wish to enter the prize draw you can register your visit anonymously (enter ‘ANON’ in the parent name field).
The prize draw will take place at Nillumbik Shire Council offices (32 Civic Drive, Greensborough) on Thursday 3 April 2025. Winners will be notified the following week.
The school with the most registered visits will receive a $500 Rebel Sport Voucher. Every child who has registered at least one visit will have a chance to win one of 5 x $100 Rebel Sport vouchers.
