Neighbourhood Houses bring people together to connect, learn and contribute to the local community through social, educational, recreational and support activities.
They welcome people of all ages, abilities and walks of life.
Explore short courses, social connection activities, community gardens, wellbeing activities, volunteering and room hire opportunities.
Neighbourhood Houses are also commonly known as community centres, learning centres, community houses or neighbourhood centres.

Neighbourhood House Week
Neighbourhood House Week is an annual national celebration recognising the important contribution more than 1,000 neighbourhood houses make in local communities across Australia.
Neighbourhood House Week is held in the second week of May and is a great opportunity to discover what’s on at your local community centre.
In 2025, Neighbourhood House Week starts Monday 12 May and the theme is ‘Ripples of Change’.
