Are you aged 18-25 and LGBTQIA+ or questioning? Join Melbourne in Motion for free parkour and creative writing workshops to explore place, movement and identity.

Each week, we’ll explore a different theme - such as resilience, possibility, or self-expression - through movement and writing. In the first part of each session, you’ll be introduced to fundamental parkour skills, concepts and values. In the second part, you’ll take part in reflective discussions and creative writing responses.

The workshops will take place at Alistair Knox Park and Eltham Library (meet at the Alan Marshall Statue outside the library).

There’s no pressure to participate in any part of the workshops. If you don’t feel comfortable doing parkour or creative writing, you can just jump in for the activities that interest you most!

Your facilitators will be parkour coach Kel Glaister (she/her) and writer Ale Prunotto (they/them) from parkour organisation Melbourne in Motion. You can find out more about Melbourne in Motion at their website.

Snacks and drinks for a range of dietary needs will be provided. Bring comfortable clothes and shoes, water, and weather protection.

This is a free event, but bookings are required - so book in now using the link to reserve your spot! You can book in for some or all sessions. Please let us know if you have accessibility requirements through the booking form.
