Join Council's Biodiversity Officer for a morning bird walk in our local reserves. These events offer a wonderful opportunity to observe and learn about local bird species in their natural habitat.
This event is for all experience levels from curious beginners to serious twitchers. We will survey for birds, discuss calls heard, discuss the various citizen science and bird identification guides for bird observations, discuss habitats and how the birds use them.
Don't forget to bring your binoculars and/or camera (if you have them), a notebook, comfortable walking shoes, rain jacket/warm clothes and water.
This is a walk, moving along the reserves trail and some open areas following bird calls and sightings as we go, so we will be on our feet for the hour and a half.
