Cyanotype Photography
Next date: Tuesday, 14 January 2025 | 11:30 AM
to 12:10 PM
Join Edendale's current Artist in Residence, Dylan Negri to create images using natural materials and the power of the sun.
Cyanotypes are a cheap and cameraless image making technique that involves layering natural objects like feathers or flowers on paper that harnesses the power of the sun to make detailed prints.
- Best suited to the age group of 5-10 year olds. This is also a great activity for parents and their children to do together. Accompanying adults are not required to purchase a ticket.
- Please allow plenty of time to find a carpark and make your way to the Ironbark Shelter as the Farm can be very busy in the holidays.
Appropriate for:
5 to 10 year olds with an interest in art and nature
What you will learn:
An image making process focussed on natural materials, sustainability and creative exploration.
What to wear:
Casual clothes and sun protection.
Please allow time to find a carpark and walk to the Ironbark Shelter.
While there is some parking available at the front of Edendale we would encourage you to investigate some more sustainable transport options including:
- Riding your bike
- Public Transport
- Walking
- Car pooling
Some overflow parking may be available at Eltham North playground
Please note we will have Harringtons Coffee Cart on site this day as Cafe Eden will be closed for some of the school holidays.
