Ageing Well Expo (Banyule & Nillumbik)

Nillumbik Shire Council in partnership with Banyule City Council will be holding a free Ageing Well Expo during the Seniors Festival to showcase information and support for local residents of both municipalities.

The Expo will feature stalls, presentations, come and try sessions, food trucks and much more.

Save the date! There is no need to book.

These sessions will be held in the meeting room near the entrance/cafe.

Services Australia

10.15am to 11am - An overview of supports Services Australia can provide for people who are planning for retirement or in retirement. Covering Financial Services Officers and Aged Care Specialist roles.

Nillumbik Shire Council - Aged Care Navigation

11am to 11.45am - Wrapping your head around My Aged Care (MAC). What is CHSP, what is an aged care package, eligibility for support, finding a provider, respite, permanent care.

Office of the Public Advocate

11.45am to 12.30pm - Information on enduring Powers of Attorney, medical treatment decision making, advance care directives and more.

Bolton Clarke

12.30pm to 1.15pm - Healthy Brain, Healthy Body - this information session will introduce you to the six factors of positive ageing so you can learn how to experience happiness and satisfaction at any age.

Ready Tech Go

1.15pm to 2pm - Technology Teaser - how tech can support people as they age (smart watches, online shopping, social media, voice to text).

Victoria Police

2pm to 2.45pm - Scam awareness - common scams to be aware of and ways to avoid them.
