Remove, destroy or lop trees or vegetation – 10P application checklist

If we have confirmed that you need a planning permit, this page lists the documents that you must have (mandatory inclusions) and others you might need to apply.

You could opt to apply for a 10FP permit (up to two trees, you pay for our arborist to assess and report). Go to planning advice about tree protections – permit types and consent.

Before you start

Before you apply, you'll need to create an account for eservices. Most registrations are approved within one business day. You'll only need to register once to submit, track and amend your application.

Arborist report

Most applications must include an arborist report. For the 10P permit you supply your own report. If applying for no more than 2 trees you can opt to use our arborist to assess and report for an extra fee for a 10FP application. Find out what to include in your arborist report for planning applications.

Native vegetation removal response

For development on lots greater than one acre (4000 square metres) where removal of native trees or vegetation is proposed, you will need to demonstrate how you have avoided, minimised, or offset vegetation removal (as per Clause 52.17). Find out more about native vegetation and offsets.

Check permit application fees

When you submit your application online you will pay a fee. To find out how much your application type will cost go to planning fees.
