Project updates

  • Soil importation was completed in mid-October 2024.
  • Capping rehabilitation works will recommence in late October 2024 and will be completed in 2026.

Walking track temporary closure
A section of the walking trail to the north of the landfill will be temporarily closed to allow for waste material beneath the trail to be removed and pulled back within the landfill. The track will be reinstated with clean fill and re-opened by the end of January 2025. We apologise for the inconvenience, but it is essential the buried waste beneath the trail is bought back within the boundary of the landfill cap.
