Background

A new Hurstbridge Community Shed will be built at 4 Arthurs Creek Road (behind Allwood House, next to the Hurstbridge Tennis Courts).

The shed will provide a permanent home for the Hurstbridge Shedders (formerly known as the Hurstbridge Men’s Shed).

The community group, which recently opened to all community members regardless of gender, currently operates out of a small storage room at the Hurstbridge Community Hub, limiting numbers and activities.

The group currently provide dedicated Men’s Shed days on Wednesdays from 10am to 2pm and Women’s Shed days on Thursdays and Sundays 1.30pm-3.30pm. The Shedders provide a space for individuals to learn new or share skills or just catch-up with other like-minded people.

Works include:

Construction of a new Community Shed with accessible amenities and basic break out room area
Shed includes two workspaces, internal and external storage
Construction of accessible parking
All associated landscaping
