Background

Originally constructed in 1987, the Eltham Lower Park pavilion has been a hub for community sport including cricket and lacrosse. As a key component of the Eltham Lower Park upgrade, the pavilion will undergo necessary upgrades to support the growth of local sporting clubs and wider community.

Works include

Accessibility improvements including dedicated car spaces, compliant paths to entry and surrounds, new accessible amenities (internal) and DDA compliance upgrades throughout
Improvements to social space including fresh paint, ceiling works and new floor coverings
Sustainability features throughout including LED lighting throughout, solar panels and decommissioning of gas
Kitchen and servery improvements
Improved storage
Upgrade to veranda/viewing area

Funding details

The upgrade is being funded as part of a $2 million commitment by the Federal Member for Jagajaga Kate Thwaites MP through the Federal Government’s Investing in Our Communities Program.
