Eagles Nest Road repairs

Project scheduleWorks commenced 27 May and were completed 26 June.

Council has repaired a damaged section of Eagles Nest Road in Arthurs Creek.

Repair work started on 27 May - full details and updates below - with the project completed 26 June.

Minor rectification works will take place in coming weeks but these won't impact road users.

Works will include

Stage 1 – Stabilisation of the bank. These works will require a full road closure. Council officers will monitor site conditions and determine whether Eagles Nest Road can be opened to one lane outside of working hours.
Stage 2 – Reconstruction of road and reinstatement of barriers. These works will require a full closure for the duration of works.

Electronic message boards will remain on site during the works near Brennans Road East and Minchins Road providing up-to-date information.

Project updates

26 June 2024: Works are now completed; some minor rectification works will take place in coming weeks which won't impact road users.

19 June 2024: Works are nearing completion; the piers and other concreting is expected to be complete on Friday 14 June. The barriers will then be refitted, and the road will be repaired. Works are expected to be fully complete with the road open from the evening of Tuesday 25 June.

31 May 2024: Works are progressing well. The bulk of the main piers to stabilise the banks completed, works will begin in the roadway next week. The road will be open to a single lane over the weekend of 1 and 2 June.

Grading of Eagles Nest Road

Council's Roads crew have been notified that works are nearing completion and will schedule grading to take place once the road is open. The confirmed date will be update here.
