Request a building or property information certificate

For a fee, property owners, neighbours or other third-parties with written consent can request building or property information documents online. These are often referred to as Part 51 (1) and Part 51 (2).

Request copies of building plans

For a fee, property owners or other third-parties with written consent can request copies of house plans, industrial plans and pool/spa information using our online portal.

Apply for a bushfire attack level report

If your land is in a designated bushfire prone area, you must get a Bushfire Attack Level assessment before you start designing and building your new home.

Request legal point of discharge information

To find the legal point of discharge (where stormwater from your property discharges into a Council managed drain or the street kerb and channel) and other drainage information you will need to apply.

Apply for an occupancy permit

Before you apply for an occupancy permit, you will need to clarify whether you need to apply for one. Your building permit will specify this information.

Apply for a skip bin permit

If you want to place a skip on land owned or managed by Nillumbik Shire Council you may need a permit.
