Have you always wanted to try life drawing? What about jewellery making, creative writing or pottery? These are just some of the creative courses available for 2025 enrolment at Living & Learning Nillumbik.

The latest course guide lists a broad range of creative, community-focused, social, and wellbeing activities across the three Living & Learning Nillumbik hubs: Diamond Creek, Eltham, and Panton Hill.

Mayor John Dumaresq said Living & Learning Nillumbik has long provided places for the community to connect and creativity to thrive.

“Living & Learning Nillumbik turns 50 this year, and as we approach this milestone, I would like to highlight how Living & Learning continues to be a vibrant hub where our community connects, learns, and grows together,” Cr Dumaresq said.

“From cooking to exercise and board games to gardening, Living & Learning Nillumbik is as much a place for community connection now as it was when it launched in the 1970s,” he said.

In addition to short courses to gain a skill or meet new friends, Living & Learning Nillumbik is home to a skills hub, where you can improve your job prospects with pre-accredited training.

Upcoming courses include introduction to floristry, introduction to cake decorating, barista basics, freelance photography and introduction to horticulture as well as Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) training (delivered by 1SDO Training; RTO ID 4155). The skills hub provides an opportunity for training and developing practical skills for the workforce without having to travel far from home.
