Voters in Bunjil ward should be aware that Bill Penrose has been retired from the 2024 local council election.
As the retirement occurred after the ballot paper had been printed, the ballot paper can’t be changed to remove the retired candidate.
If you’re voting in Bunjil ward, follow the instructions in the ballot pack to cast your formal vote. Put the number 1 in the box next to the candidate you want to see elected, then number all the other boxes in order of your choice. You must number every box and only use each number once.
When counting votes for these elections, the retired candidate’s votes will be passed on to other candidates according to voters’ preferences.
