CEO Employment Matters Committee

Purpose and objectives

The CEO Employment Matters Committee makes recommendations to Council on contractual employment matters, performance matters and any other functions or responsibilities prescribed by the Local Government Act relating to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO).

Independent members of the Committee are separately appointed by Council for a fixed term.

Meeting frequency

The Committee will meet a minimum two times a year, unless otherwise agreed by Council.

Committee period

Committee appointments will be for a one year term, with an option to review at Council’s Extraordinary Council Meeting held in November each year.

Members

The Committee is chaired by an independent chairperson who is appointed by Council initially for a two year term, with extension options of up to a maximum of two more years at the discretion of Council.
