Report illegal signage

Most signs that are erected in Nillumbik require planning approval to ensure they are safe and do not negatively impact community amenity.

If you see a sign that is dangerous or does not have approval, you can report it to Council and we will investigate. Signage on private property that does not have approval will be forwarded to our Planning department, while illegal signage on public land is investigated by our Community Safety team.

Election signage

There are rules that apply to candidates' signage. In the lead up to the Council election, find out what’s allowed and what to do if you suspect electoral material may be illegal. Visit the election signage page.
