Campaign donations
All local government election candidates are required to provide a record of whether they did or didn't receive any donations, gifts or in-kind support for their election campaigns.
Donation return forms are included in candidate information packs from the VEC and must be submitted to the Nillumbik Shire Council CEO by Thursday 5 December 2024, even if you don’t receive a donation or gift. A summary will be published on Council’s website.
Visit the Local Government Inspectorate website for information about the requirements for campaign donations.
Information requests from candidates
Candidates have equal rights to information from Council that is relevant to their election campaign. To ensure Council doesn't unfairly provide an advantage or disadvantage to a candidate, Council maintained a register of information provided to candidates during the election period.
