Speak at a meeting

If you would like to address the Planning and Consultation Committee, you must lodge a written request no later than 5pm the day prior to the meeting.

You can apply online below or contact the Governance team by calling 9433 3718 or emailing governance@nillumbik.vic.gov.au.

Addressing the Committee

You may speak on behalf of another person or organisation. No person may speak on behalf of more than one other person or organisation.

You will have up to three minutes to speak. The Councillors may ask you questions relating to your submission after you have spoken.

You can address the Planning and Consultation Committee in person or virtually via Zoom. You should indicate your preference when you register. You can change your preference up to 5pm the day prior to the meeting by contacting the Governance team.

To address the Committee virtually you will need to have:

  • access to Zoom
  • an email address to receive the meeting link
  • reliable internet access.

The meeting Zoom link will be emailed by 2pm on the day of the meeting and will include instructions on how to attend. The email may go to your junk email folder. Call 9433 3111 before 4pm if you have not received the meeting link.

Virtual meetings

If the Planning and Consultation Committee meeting moves to a fully virtual platform, you will be notified and can either:

  • Address the Committee virtually via Zoom
  • Nominate a person to speak on your behalf for up to three minutes by providing their name, email and phone number.
