In Nillumbik, there are two regular formal meetings of Councillors. Decisions can be made at formal Council meetings, and some matters can be delegated to a Planning and Consultation Committee meeting.
The Planning and Consultation Committee meeting allows Councillors to hear submissions and provides an opportunity for community feedback to be considered before a formal decision is made at a Council meeting. Some planning matters that Councillors wish to decide on can also be taken to a Planning and Consultation Committee meeting.
