The Eltham Jazz, Food & Wine Festival is Nillumbik’s hallmark cultural event, held for over 25 years. Set in Eltham's shopping precinct, in 2019, the Festival was ranked one of the World’s Top 20 Jazz Festivals by American Express Essentials. It is the most popular arts festival in Nillumbik.

Open Cellars of Nillumbik is a 21 year-old wine 'meet-the-maker' event, welcoming visitors to spend time at the boutique wineries in the Shire of Nillumbik. Held annually over the the third weekend in June and October, the event also promotes local food producers, artists and musicians.

The Night on the Hill Festival is a free, all inclusive annual community event featuring live music, great food and children's entertainment. The main objective is to foster community spirit and engagement, whilst celebrating the beautiful environment of Panton Hill.

The Diamond Creek Rotary Town Fair is held annually in September. It begins with a grand parade through the main street. Throughout the day there are numerous activities and events that take place on the ovals, including stalls and entertainment. The evening culminates with a CFA torchlight parade and fireworks.

The Rotary Eltham Festival is an annual event in Alistair Knox Park that has been run by the Rotary Club of Eltham in November for more than 20 years. The two day event starts midday on Saturday and aims to 'Bring the Community Together' with activities and entertainment to interest all sections of the community.
