St. Margaret's is a faith-based organization that is eager to reach out to the community with help and hope. We love to discuss new ideas and what is needed and relevant to our community. Everyone is welcome regardless of race, religion and gender to share our many facilities.
St. Margaret's Anglican Church prides itself on "Caring for the Community since 1861"
We welcome the community to use our Labyrinth (we hold a "Walk as One at One each year on World labyrinth day). Individaals can use the labyrinth at anytime or join a group. The Yarning Circle, Art Gallery Space, plus the Community Pantry held in partnership with LinC and DVCS are all available for community use. A Dementia Café is opening in September.
Apart from our usual services, we regularly hold Taizé Services, meditation groups and quiet days which are attended by non-parishioners. We have a monthly Men’s Breakfast We also hold events of interest to the community such as our seminars on Climate Change. NAIDOC with the St. Margaret’s Do Justice Group in partnership with the Nillumbik Reconciliation Group was celebrated by a “Truth Telling” event with a speaker from The First Nations Assembly of Victoria plus A speaker from Amnesty International. In September we have the Open Door Singers joining with our current St. Margaret's Music Scholarship holders and Rev'd Keren Terpstra playing her harp performing in a concert.
These are some of our recent events but we are always ready to embrace others as the opportunity and need arises.
