Since 1992, the Friends of Watery Gully have been working tirelessly to protect and enhance Peppers Paddock. We manage the reserve in partnership with Council and meet monthly to perform hands-on works.
We have successfully advocated for many improvements to Peppers Paddock and have also been successful in obtaining a number of grants over the years.
Friends of Watery Gully enhance indigenous biodiversity to ensure habitat for indigenous fauna through revegetation and enhancement works including weed control, planting, mulching and rubbish collection.
New volunteers of any age are warmly welcomed at any time. No previous experience is necessary, and it is a wonderful opportunity to learn about Nillumbik's unique flora and fauna.
In our opinion, we also serve the best morning tea in Wattle Glen, to thank volunteers for their morning's efforts!
We meet on the first Sunday of the month (except January) 10am-12pm at Peppers Paddock in Wattle Glen.
