Eltham Toy Library

The Eltham Toy Library is a not-for-profit organisation giving members the opportunity to borrow from a huge range of over 800 toys, games and puzzles.

We operate out of the multi-purpose room of the Eltham Library Complex. We are also directly open to the public, allowing families to attend during session times to play with our toys and meet other local families, at no cost to the family.

Toy libraries are lots of fun, but also great because:

  • children can become quickly bored with toys after their initial interest wanes and require different toys as they reach new developmental stages
  • we provide variety and versatility of learning experiences
  • we help families save money and space on unwanted toys, whilst being environmentally conscious and reducing consumption
  • children love visiting the toy library to help choose toys to take home and parents have the opportunity to meet other families with young children in the community.

We operate three session times per week:

  • Tuesdays 10:00am - 11:30am
  • Thursdays 7:00pm - 8:00pm
  • Sundays 3:30pm - 4:30pm
