Eltham Little Theatre

ELT started as a Play Reading Group in the first week of February 1958 at the home of Mrs Joan Sellars, Main Road, Research. The Group decided to elect a Committee after meeting for two weeks.

After presenting 3 one-act plays at Eltham RSL for private viewing by Mrs Christian, a representative of the VDL, the Group was encouraged by her to commence public performances. And so we began!

As a small theatre located in the outskirts of Melbourne, we endeavour to inspire and entertain both our audience and actors.

Our little theatre with a BIG HEART has developed deep roots in the local Nillumbik community and with a passion for storytelling we provide an exceptional theatre experience for the young and old.

We are solely operated by a dedicated volunteer committee of management and committed volunteers helpers. All are welcome.

ELT produce five seasons a year, including a Youth Production and a Cabaret Style event with BYO food and drink to end the year. We have an In House Awards night open to all members and the occasional Trivia Evening and fun working bees.
