Our Mission At Creative Community Space, we are dedicated to fostering creativity, supporting sustainability, and building strong community connections. Our mission is to empower individuals through hands-on crafting, upcycling, and resource-sharing initiatives that reduce environmental impact and promote sustainable living.

What We Offer

  • Workshops and Classes: From beginner sewing to advanced upcycling, our diverse range of classes caters to all skill levels and interests. Whether you’re looking to learn a new craft or hone your existing skills, our expert instructors are here to guide you.
  • Resource Recovery Center: Our center is stocked with donated fabrics, patterns, trims, and other crafting supplies. You can buy, donate, or swap items, earning circular credits to use towards future purchases.
  • Drop-in Workspace: Need a place to work on your projects? Our fully equipped workspace is available for drop-ins, featuring cutting tables, sewing machines, and more. Perfect for those who need a proper setup away from home.
  • Community Events: Join us for special events, including community crafting sessions, sustainability talks, and collaborative projects. These events are designed to bring people together and inspire creative solutions for a greener future.

♻️ Sustainability and Impact Our commitment to sustainability goes beyond crafting. By promoting the reuse and recycling of materials, we aim to reduce textile waste and its impact on the environment. Our circular credit system encourages the community to donate and swap materials, creating a continuous cycle of reuse.

Community Collaboration Located inside Banyule Nillumbik Tech School, our unique partnership allows us to share resources, knowledge, and connections. This collaboration is a pioneering approach to community building and resource utilization, enhancing the educational experience and fostering innovation.

Hours and Appointments Currently, our hours of operation are Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 3-6pm. To ensure we can serve you best, please book your visit in advance by texting 0421122568. As we grow, we hope to expand our hours to include evenings and weekends, making our space even more accessible to the community.
