Children's Week

Children’s Week is an annual event celebrated in Australia around the fourth week of October. This year Children’s Week is from Saturday 19 October to Sunday 27 October.

The theme for Children's Week 2024 is "Children have the right to a clean and safe environment". 

A diverse range of events and activities are organised at national, state and local levels. These focus the attention of the wider community on children, their rights and achievements.

Children’s Week celebrates the right of children to enjoy childhood. It is also a time for children to demonstrate their talents, skills and abilities.

This Children's Week event is presented by Nillumbik Shire Council in partnership with the Victorian Government.

Food-focused storytime and craft session

20 Oct 2024 This event combines the joy of storytelling with hands-on craft activities, all centred around the theme of sustainability, such as recycling and healthy eating. Children will be captivated by stories that explore the world of food, healthy eating, and then unleash their creativity in a fun and food-themed craft session.
