On Wednesday 25 December and Wednesday 1 January, bins will not be collected. Instead, bins will be collected the following day and one day later for the rest of the week. Our customer service desk will be closed from 25 December to 5 January, however our call centre will only be closed on public holidays.

If you want to run a domestic animal business, it must be registered with Nillumbik Shire Council.

You will need to renew your registration by 10 April each year.
If you are not the property owner, you will need signed written permission from the property owner. This will be uploaded at the time of submitting the online permit application form.
Register a domestic animal business
The application fee for a domestic animal business registration is $408.00.
This amount is correct as of 1 July 2024.
After your permit application is received, an invoice will be generated and emailed to you. This email will contain instructions on how to pay.
If you want to transfer an existing domestic animal business registration to your name, you will need written permission from the current business owner.
