| Special Meeting of Council 25 November 2009 | | Pursuant to Section 84A of the Local Government Act 1989 a Special Meeting of Council will be held on Wednesday 25 November 2009 at the Nillumbik Shire Council Offices, Civic Drive, Greensborough, commencing at 7.30pm.
The meeting will be closed to the public in accordance with section 89 (2)(d) of the Local Government Act 1989.

| Diamond Creek Stadium – design input opportunity | | Nillumbik Shire Council is at the advanced planning stage for the proposed Diamond Creek Stadium, which will include three indoor sport courts/multi purpose performance spaces, Olympic gymnastics space, a multi purpose area and support amenities.
Council wishes to conduct an informal market sounding process to enable prospective lessees and operators to meet the design team and give input into the proposed design to achieve increased functionality from an operation perspective.

| Draft Hurstbridge Concept Plan | | Council has adopted the draft Hurstbridge Concept Plan for public consultation and is now seeking feedback from the community.
Copies of the draft Concept Plan are available from the For public consultation page on this website and are also on display at the Hurstbridge Community Centre, Allwood House and the Hurstbridge Post Office.

| Notice of intention to lease land | | Nillumbik Shire Council (Council) gives notice under Section 190 of the Local Government Act 1989 that it has resolved to lease land and communication facilities at 385A Eltham-Yarra Glen Road, Kangaroo Ground, Volume 8042 Folio 131, to the Victoria Police. The proposed Lease Agreement will include the following terms and conditions:
Term of Lease: Thirty (30) years Areaof land: Approximately 240 square metres Use: Radio/communications tower and facilities Rental amount: $18,000 per annum with a fixed five per cent increase annually for 10 years, then reviewed to market rent at the end of each 10 year period.

| Proposal to officially rename Eltham West Drain | | Notice is given pursuant to section 223 of the Local Government Act 1989 seeking submissions on the proposal to rename Eltham West Drain either Karingal Creek or Waigo Yalloc(k), as resolved at the Ordinary Meeting of Council on 27 October 2009. | Locality and boundary review for Strathewen, St Andrews and Arthurs Creek | | This plan outlines the proposed locality and boundary changes proposed for the Nillumbik Shire.
Purpose of review Council received a submission from a group of residents whose properties are currently located within either the St Andrews or Arthurs Creek localities requesting that the boundary of the Strathewen locality be extended to incorporate their respective properties.
Internal Council consultation and preliminary external consultation has indicated support for the proposed boundary relocations.
Inspection of plans Detailed maps outlining the proposed locality boundary changes for the Nillumbik Shire are now on public display at the Civic Centre, Civic Drive, Greensborough, or the Diamond Valley and Eltham libraries.
Review process This consultation process will allow Council to ascertain community response to the proposal before it submits its final recommendation to the Registrar of Geographic Names.

People making a submissions to one of the above items may request to be heard in support of their submission, either in person or by a person acting on their behalf before a meeting of the Policy and Services Committee of Council on 8 December 2009 at 7pm.
All submissions will be considered in accordance with Section 223 of the Act.
